The Pantry
Fruit and vegetables need proper storage.
Three maple wood crates stacked one on top of the other for the proper storage of produce. Marie Nemeth and Silvia Stocker from studiotut developed this archetype for a modern table top pantry. In the past, a household without proper storage for fruit and vegetables would have been unthinkable. Handcrafted to the highest standards and clearly in tune with the current zeitgeist, studiotut gives this time-honoured functional space a fresh twist.
Three modular, stackable crates offer ideal storage and ripening space. The bottom tier is for produce that prefers the dark. The middle tier offers space for "ethylene dispensers" such as apples and pears. Through the openings in the bottom of the top tier, the ripening gas ethylene can rise and aid the ripening of fruits and vegetables stored there.

About the designer
studiotut
The two Viennese designers Marie Nemeth and Silvia Stocker studied at New Design University in St. Pölten and founded studiotut after completing their studies. When the two designers speak of solutions, they mean the entire process: from challenge to research, to concept and design, to production. To give their projects a holistic character, they always explore the relationship between small and large anew. This open, perceptive, playful and at the same time serious approach emerges the essence of studiotut: fully thought out solutions and compelling translations for products, spaces and graphics.
